Pick how much you are willing to lose: a percent of balance, a percent of equity, or a fixed amount. Set the stop in points or drag the SL line. The panel turns that into a volume using your broker’s own contract data.

Rounding down means the order never risks more than your budget because of the lot step. If the risk is too small for the minimum lot, no order is sent.

- Click BUY or SELL. Lot, SL and TP are applied automatically.

- Open the MQL5 product page and click Download, or search “AlgoFX Risk Panel” in the Market tab of MetaTrader 5.
- Find it in Navigator → Expert Advisors → Market.
- Drag it onto the chart of the symbol you trade.
- Enable Algo Trading so the buttons can place orders.
- Check the first calculation on a demo account.
Inputs: Risk mode and value · Default stop loss (points) and reward:risk ratio · Magic number, maximum deviation, order comment · Chart theme on/off and panel position. The optional dark theme restores your original chart colors when the panel is removed.
What the number does not include.
Commission is not part of the risk calculation. On commission-based accounts the realised risk is slightly higher than the panel shows. Gaps and slippage can also make a loss larger than planned.
Only trades when you click.
In non-visual Strategy Tester mode the panel places occasional demo trades so the calculation can be validated. On a live chart it never opens a position on its own.

Is AlgoFX Risk Panel an indicator or an Expert Advisor?
It is an MT5 utility. It runs from the Expert Advisors section so it can place orders, but it only trades when you click BUY or SELL on a live chart. It has no automatic entry logic.
How is the lot size calculated?
The panel converts your risk amount into a volume using the symbol’s tick value and tick size from your broker, divided by the loss per lot at your stop loss. The result is rounded down to the lot step and checked against the minimum and maximum lot and your free margin.
Which instruments does it support?
Any symbol your broker provides contract data for, including forex pairs, gold, indices and crypto CFDs. Always confirm the first calculation against your broker’s contract specification.
Is commission included in the risk?
No. Commission is not part of the calculation, so on commission-based accounts the realised risk is slightly higher than the panel shows. Gaps and slippage can also increase a loss.
